The name "reiki" is taken from the Japanese symbols for "rei" and "ki" (pronounced ray-key) meaning "Universal Life Energy". We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.
Debbie is a qualified Level 2, Second Degree Reiki Master Practioner and has been trained in the original oriental Japanese system of alternative natural healing taught by Mikau Usui in the 1900's. The healing combines original and Westernised techniques that involves channeling energy referred to as "Chi". It is not a 'cold', 'clinical' energy: it is an energy that encompasses all aspects of us. Chi encompasses and reflects not only our physical being but also our thoughts, emotions and our spiritual side. So when reiki is channeled, it does not feel like a neutral energy that you are dealing with: it feels beautiful, and the more you receive reiki, the more beautiful it becomes!
Debbie works intuitively with various reiki techniques that involve hands on/off along with voice and sound healing. Reiki is not attached to any religion or any belief system, it does not conflict with an individual's religious beliefs, or lack of religious beliefs. Sessions can be booked as either a 60 minute or 30 minute treatment and are recommended every 4-6 weeks.
